Facebook has quietly released a new app for couples called “Tuned.” While the social network’s dating service is experiencing delays in its rollout to Europe, a small group of employees within Facebook have launched a new app. However, this app is not intended for singles, but for non-singles.

What is Tuned?
The app from the New Product Experimentation team is a private social networking app for couples. Everything they share is only accessible to their partner and not for the entire world to view. According to the description, it lets couples be just as “mushy, quirky and crazy” as when they are together.
“A private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves.”
Tuned is a kind of private space for couples to share anything with each other. The app has several features that allow you to ‘express your love creatively’ and ‘share your mood’. For now, Tuned is only available for iOS users in the United States and Canada.

Features
The app, first spotted by The Information , connects to Spotify for music sharing, and as a couple you can send each other photos, notes, cards and voice messages. You can also use custom stickers and comments. It’s free to use and apparently doesn’t require a Facebook account to sign up. These are the five most important features:
- A private feed between you and your partner in scrapbook form.
- Connect your Spotify account to share songs and playlists.
- Set your mood color and see how your partner feels.
- Send photo snapshots, notes, cards, voice memos and more.
- Express yourself with custom stickers and comments.
Last year, Facebook announced it would launch experimental apps called ‘NPE Team, from Facebook’. These apps are launched and removed if they do not become popular. Tuned is now an example of this, an app that is linked to Facebook’s mission to connect people.
