After the final review of the significant shows from Milan Fashion Week, I invite you to the Parisian catwalks. In this article, I have collected 7 of the most striking shows from the capital of France and arranged them in ascending order from the point of view of my personal preferences. Let’s watch, get inspired and look for interesting trends and stylistic techniques. So, let’s go!

Alexander McQueen – Tales Told by Mom
The new creative designer Sean McGirr treats the heritage of the founder of the house, Lee McQueen, very carefully. This time, in addition to the archives, he drew inspiration from Irish folklore and fairy tales. Hence the collection of multi-tiered dresses, skirts and trousers with a transparent horizontal insert with the most delicate frills, as well as corsets, skirts, dresses with a stand-up collar and sandals assembled from feathers.
Particularly noteworthy is the jacket assembled from gold glass beads and an outfit made of silver chains repeating the lines of the body. Bags were decorated with heavy but elegant pendants, and ears – with long and no less elegant earrings. Personally, I was captivated by an accessory straight from Pushkin’s fairy tales (since I am not familiar with Irish folklore) – a bag in the form of a mirror with a long fringe of stones. “My light, mirror, tell me …”

Balmain – Creative Luxury
“I think the recipe for fashion is not to be fashionable. The recipe for fashion is to be you,” said creative director Olivier Rousteing, and I absolutely agree with him on that.
The Balmain spring 2025 collection can be looked at endlessly: dresses that repeat the silhouettes of perfume bottles, hand-embroidered by the brand’s team using pearls, beads and shiny glass beads; horizontal ribbons of gold chains covering outfits; T-shirts and dresses that look like they were molded directly onto the body from plaster. All this was decorated with incredibly beautiful accessories: gold bag-bottles, the same bottles as pendants and heels, lipstick earrings, bag pendants, belts, clutches and bracelets in the form of eyeshadow palettes.

Saint Laurent — Le Smoking and a trip to Marrakech
The brand’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, managed to pay tribute in one story to both the legendary Le Smoking , created by Yves Saint Laurent in 1966, and the maestro’s favorite city, Marrakech, which inspired him with its national culture.
Hence the collection features strict but sensual trouser two-pieces; dresses made of thin boho-style gossamer, falling in waves to the floor; shoes decorated with precious stones; national Moroccan jewelry; damask pajamas and a series of brocade-lace looks that embodied all the luxury and multi-color of the East: copper-red is friends with gold and ochre, emerald is served with azure and violet, and fuchsia with turquoise and sea waves. Interestingly, the trouser looks exactly repeat the style of Yves Saint Laurent himself, right down to the massive glasses.

Rabanne – Metallic iridescence
It is amazing how masterfully the brand’s creative director Julien Dossena manages to work with metallic textures, “native” to the brand. In the spring 2025 collection, pleated skirts, shirts, knitted sweaters, chainmail dresses, transparent capes and boots shimmered with metal. And then the designer dilutes the abundance of metal with multi-layered images of shirts, T-shirts and cardigans with stripes of different thickness, color and direction (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) and offers rain covers for bags and shoes.
Scroll through the gallery and take a look at the bag made from metal plates. It’s a new version of the iconic bag from the 1969 collection, handcrafted from plates covered in 18-karat gold. Dossena explained that the €250,000 piece is an homage to the 1968 Paco Rabanne gold and diamond dress for singer and actress Françoise Hardy.

Valentino – Retrofuturism
Alessandro Michele’s signature is so bright that it is recognizable at first glance. This was the case during his time at Gucci , and it happened with the first ready-to-wear collection for the house of Valentino . The designer’s passion for glitter, brocade, feathers, fringe, fur, and five-row jewelry resulted in a truly Roman style, for which luxury and wealth are most important.
What is valuable and important is that under all this decor you can feel great respect and understanding of the original (and also very Roman) Valentino style . Michele mixes elegant dresses just below the knee with bows and frills and those that go with multi-tiered skirts, polka dot blouses and wide-brimmed hats with his own tricks: lace tights, Pierrot collars, tapestry jackets, ethnic skirts, heavy jewelry, silk turbans and veils. You can look at them endlessly!

Miu Miu – Collection for a girl
I gave the second place in my personal rating to the Miu Miu collection , first of all, for the feeling of carefree youth that it gave me. And, of course, for Miuccia Prada’s amazing ability not only to combine the incompatible in one image, but also to subtly feel the mood of society, which greatly helps the designer set trends.
I bet that in the spring of 2025 it will be fashionable to mix lingerie style with sporty style, wear several belts at once, move leg warmers from legs to arms, mix office jackets, skirts and shirts with bodysuits and windbreakers, and also tie jumpers like corsets and wear poplin skirts and delicate girlish dresses (with buttons hastily unbuttoned on the back) with knitted knee socks and loafers.

Loewe – clothes as a work of art
Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson has earned universal love and respect, first of all, thanks to his unconventional approach to creating collections. For him, clothing is not just a utilitarian piece of fabric, but an art object.
The Loewe spring 2025 collection has become another work of art in the designer’s collection: feather T-shirts with portraits of Mozart, Chopin and Bach, mother-of-pearl coats made of real shells, a series of weightless blooming crinolines that were worn with loafers, oxfords and high-top sneakers, leather trench coats with a flying hem and Jonathan’s favorite trompe l’oeil . Critics are already predicting that the collections will top the ratings of the most popular, and I will only add that the designer has excellent creative and business thinking – since Anderson’s arrival at Loewe , sales have increased fivefold.
