Before summing up the final results of the spring 2025 shows, I decided to take a closer look at the accessory trends in New York and London. What we see on the catwalks of these two fashion capitals is usually significantly different from Milan and Paris, which makes it all the more interesting to compare the trends they offer.

3rd place – bright high heels
No matter how much we love sneakers, we can’t do without a pair of shoes (or sandals) with heels. This is what designers from New York and London say, but with one clarification – these must be bright shoes. These are exactly the kind you can see in the collections of Carolina Herrera, Proenza Schouler, Burberry and Prabal Gurung .

2nd place – ballet shoes
Ballet flats took 2nd place in the fashion shows and will continue to be the most popular footwear of the spring 2025 season. Simone Rocha, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and Prabal Gurung showed a new variation of Audrey Hepburn’s favorite footwear.

1st place – Ugly shoes
The first place was taken by Ugly shoes or, as they are also called, “ugly shoes”. Yes, at first glance, these creations may seem too strange, but the numbers and their commercially successful releases say otherwise. So, if you are not against bright, unusual images, then take a closer look at Roksanda brush shoes , Proenza Schouler galoshes made in collaboration with the outdoor shoe brand Sorel , or Simone Rocha’s richly decorated Crocs .

3rd place – with fringe
Unexpectedly, the fringe trend has proven to be very tenacious, and next spring bags with this moving decor will be at the peak of popularity. We are looking at playful baskets from Michael Kors , raffia fringe, like those from Kors and Nanushka , or super-effective models with such long streams of fringe that they seem endless, like those from Erdem, Tory Burch and SS Daley .

Looking ahead, I will say that outlandish models of bags have conquered not only the catwalks of New York and London. And if the classics no longer quicken your heartbeat, then take a closer look at the cheerful duck bags from Simone Rocha and the teddy bear reticule from Coach. But the trend for fantasy bags is not limited to the animal world: Prabal Gurung offered a golden bowler hat as a bag, Coach – a huge heart or lips, and if you want to play rugby, then a suitable ball bag can be found at Monse .

1st place – knitted and woven
Knitted bags have been incredibly popular lately. They have become an analogue of the Jane Birkin-style basket bag and are a great addition to light, flowing skirts and dresses. The most popular raffia totes at the shows in New York and London were those from Tommy Hilfiger, Nanushka and Ralph Lauren. By the way, the latter decided that one bag is good, but two are better.

1, 2, 3 places – large earrings
As for jewelry and costume jewelry, there is no alternative opinion – the most fashionable decoration of spring 2025 is unanimously recognized as large earrings! Long ones are better, and even better those that hang down to the collarbone, like Ralph Lauren, Simone Rocha, Tory Burch and Erdem .
