Sometimes it seems that we have to make more time for all kinds of meaningless things than for ourselves. We are constantly in the same cycle: we have to make others feel comfortable, make sure everything works, pay our bills, listen to others and be there for them when needed.
But in order to keep up with all this, we have to make time for ourselves. Here are 8 ways to do this:
Accept your flaws
Learn to love your flaws. We all have our imperfections, but that’s part of it. These flaws are part of humanity. Accept it, because they belong to the best part of you.
Learn to say no
Although you always want to be there for everyone, it is even more important to be there for yourself. Therefore, learn to say no every now and then. If you’re invited to something you really don’t want to go to, just cancel.
Develop Healthy Boundaries
The best way to learn to say no is to develop boundaries. This way it will be a lot clearer to yourself when you have to say no to something. Anyone who disagrees with your boundaries, or tries to go beyond them, is simply not the right person for you.
Listen to yourself
You can only really listen to yourself in silence. And that is precisely why it is good to completely isolate yourself from the rest of the world every now and then, to listen carefully to yourself. Do you have a question or just don’t know what to do? Then try to listen carefully to yourself in these cases.

Connect with yourself
To sit completely in silence, it can help to meditate. There is almost no better way than this to fully connect with yourself. Make time for yourself, broaden your horizons and do things that you normally wouldn’t do.
Ask for help if necessary
Making time for yourself is crucial for personal growth, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get help from others. We all need someone we can talk to. Therefore, do not hesitate to ask for help when necessary.
Be honest with yourself
Stay authentic. Stay unique. And stay different. The only thing that matters is that you remain yourself. Your flaws, imperfections, strengths and passions make you who you are. Be proud of that!

Develop supportive rituals
The things that make you feel good, that calm you down and allow you to get away from the busy world for a while, are the things that you should continue to do. Go into nature if you feel good about it. Stroll through the city. Grab your painting supplies from the cupboard and let your creative spirit flow or grab a notebook and write down your feelings. But keep doing what makes you feel good.
