If New York Fashion Week has been showing calm wearable clothes for several seasons now, London remains true to itself and shows bright fantasy collections with an abundance of ruffles, crinolines, lace and outrageous stylistic techniques. This time I decided to do without defiant extravagance and highlighted five of the most noticeable trends of London catwalks that can be applied in everyday life.
If it’s color, then citrus
London designers suggest that we welcome spring with a shock dose of vitamin C and dress in shades of all citrus fruits – from bitter lime, like Feben and Tolu Coker , to bright lemon, like Roksanda and 16 Arlington , and juicy orange, like Mark Fast and Burberry. However, calm variations of this palette, like Richard Quinn , Simone Rocha and Erdem , are also welcome. We are waiting for next summer to “walk” images in vitamin colors that will perfectly set off tanned skin.

If trousers, then Bermudas
For several seasons now, Bermuda shorts have not given up their positions. Now they are worn in winter in a duet with high boots, and in the summer this item is irreplaceable due to its versatility. Let’s look at examples and catch different styling options: from office, like Emilia Wickstead , to casual looks, like Burberry and Mark Fast , and evening sets, like Tolu Coker and Ahluwalia .

If it’s decor, then fringe
Fringe is not a new trend, and yet not everyone has found a way to incorporate this decor into their wardrobe. Nevertheless, designers are determined and are finding new styling ideas. In addition to the classic fringe on the hem and cuffs of the sleeves, like Mark Fast and Feben , we are offered to put fringe on shoes and bags, like 16Arlington and Erdem , and even on collars, like Emilia Wickstead . In addition, Erdem suggested hanging fringe as a second layer on a dress, like tinsel on a Christmas tree.

If you are tired of fringe, try beads
If you love embellished clothing but fringe is not your thing, London designers offered another expressive accent: beads. They decorated everything from delicate dresses covered with beaded ribbons or gloves, like Emilia Wickstead , to outerwear, like Huishan Zhang . And Richard Quinn made a beaded fringe wedding dress, but this is an option for the most daring. Burberry, Simone Rocha and Erdem preferred rhinestones to beads – chic, shine, beauty!

If a top, then a crop
London designers supported their American colleagues in that crop tops from the not so distant 90s and 00s are once again at the peak of their popularity. But even if you are the lucky owner of a pumped-up abs, you should not forget about the correct styling of this wardrobe item in the city, so as not to look provocative or too beachy. The simplest example is light layering.
