Chanel’s fall-winter 2025/2026 collection is once again the result of the creative team’s work, as newly appointed director Mathieu Blasi will only show his collection in September.
This time, the brand’s design group asked themselves how to make a tweed suit fashionable again. In search of an answer to this question, weightless tulle helped: elongated tweed jackets acquired a floor-length tulle skirt, and suits – top layers of the same tulle.

Sets with detachable puffy collars (a separate trend in Paris) and numerous ruffles and bows – as decoration, belts, prints, collars and embroidery – all this was reminiscent of the signature style of Coco Chanel herself.

Vinyl jackets, trench coats and down jackets were decorated with the same bows, denim was complemented with transparent tulle in the same tone, knitted sets were decorated with long strands of large pearls, and tweed suits were decorated with appliqués of multi-colored disks, similar to pansies.

Tweed total looks were crowned with a Shapoklyak hat or decorated with fur appliqués, dresses and suits were complemented with micro bags on a chain, and large corduroy became an alternative to the ubiquitous tweed.

I noticed the denim suit that transformed into transparent white fabric, as well as the massive pearl necklaces that served as a micro-bag, and the same large pearls as heels.
