For their cruise collection for Jille Sander, the Meyer family decided to move away from the beloved enveloping cocoon silhouette and add more glossy textures, clothed in sharper, more angular shapes.
“Last season we were more about retreating into our own world. Now it’s more about confronting reality because we can’t hide from what’s going on around us.”
Only 12 women’s looks were distinguished by the designers’ characteristic simplicity: strict trench coats, elegant coats, stylish down jackets, leather two-piece suits were complemented by a minimum of decorations and details.

As with the spring/summer 2025 show, the Meyers were inspired by the work of Canadian photographer Greg Girard. And while in the spring collection this was embodied in specific photographs that eventually appeared on the clothes, now the designers focused on the general mood and color of his work. Hence, for example, the complexly structured silk, shiny leather and artificial studio lighting, which seemed to blur the sense of time.

The Meyers brought their own elegant yin/yang to Jil Sander , creating visual effects in their world of elegant minimalism that worked on contrast: the delicate was paired with the hard, the airy with the dense, and the shiny with the matte.
