For the Spring 2025 collection, creative director Sabato De Sarno focused on Gucci’s archives , particularly the 1960s, and on the brand’s devoted client and muse, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
“When I was digging through the archive, I discovered that someone had described her style as ‘effortless grandeur.’ Those words stayed with me throughout the creative process.”
There was no obvious reference to those times at the start of the show, but as the show progressed, scarves with an archival Gucci Flora print and oversized sunglasses suggested that De Sarno was inspired by the looks of Jackie Kennedy during her trip to Capri in 1960.

The show culminated in looks of floor-length coats, stylized with T-shirts and boyish jeans. Such a little “hooliganism” from the designer, who, it seems, has loosened up a little creatively in his sixth collection for the brand.
