With its new spring-summer collection, Fendi celebrated its 100th anniversary and dedicated the show to four generations of women, thanks to whom the brand has become one of the most successful in the world.
The first boutique was opened in Rome by Adele Fendi in 1925. The brand gained international fame thanks to her five daughters: Anna, Alda, Paola, Carla and Franca.
Our mother always said, “You are like a hand, you have five fingers. You are different from each other, but at your core, you are connected.”
Anna’s daughter, Silvia Venturini Fendi, is now in charge of the men’s collections and accessories. And Silvia’s daughter, Anna’s granddaughter and Adele’s great-granddaughter, Delphine, whom Jones has called his main muse, designs the jewellery.

Creative designer Kim Jones had the challenging task of bringing together the visions of these four generations of women to present a collection that would span an entire century of the brand.
The fashion journey began with the Jazz Age and the breakthrough modernism of the 1920s. Hence the drop-waisted Art Deco dresses with hand embroidery, languid fur robes, “naked” skirts with rhinestone embroidery and transparent slip dresses.

Jones paired leather robe coats with shorts, silk skirts with rhinestone-embellished T-shirts, and striped shirts with sheer tank skirts.

The catwalk featured a dress, blouse and skirt in white crocodile skin, shirt dresses with monochrome fringed bags and dress over pants looks .

The collaboration between Fendi and the American work shoe brand Red Wing became “that very” spice . It was based on the iconic model of classic moc boots , which, in combination with falling nylon socks, generously embroidered with beads and rhinestones, translucent dresses and cashmere coats, gave the images a grunge-sporty shade.

The ’90s echoed in a new version of the baguette bag, sometimes with fringe and increased volume. Models were adorned with keychains and embellishments, including fluffy balls and headphone cases.
