People date and start relationships with the intention of making them last. Maybe forever… who knows. Unfortunately, this is just an illusion for most relationships. Almost everyone experiences a few failed relationships before they find the one they love. And often you can see the end of a relationship coming for a while. There are a number of signs that show that the relationship is doomed to failure.
A lost cause… or not?
In a relationship you encounter ups and downs. Sometimes you behave like teenagers in love, the other moment the flame between you seems to have completely extinguished. Your financial situation, stressors such as work or fatigue; these can all be factors that lead to a down period. But sometimes it’s more than just a down moment in the relationship… and things go in the wrong direction.

10 signs your relationship is doomed to fail
Do you recognize any of these bad habits? Then your relationship is in danger of failing. But don’t you want the relationship to end? Luckily you got there in time. Because recognizing that it won’t work this way is the only way to overcome problems. These are 10 signs that your relationship is doomed to failure.
1. You will never argue with your partner again
It may sound a bit strange, but regularly arguing with your partner is completely normal and healthy. You have to deal with frustrations and disagreements in relationships. If you are constantly arguing, this is of course not a good sign, but if you never have a discussion or argument again, this is certainly a prediction of adversity.
If you are no longer willing to invest in the relationship by discussing with your partner or expressing things that bother you in the relationship, then you are no longer committed to the relationship. When this is the case, the end of the relationship is near.
2. You prioritize time with others over time with your partner
There’s nothing wrong with sometimes wanting to go out with your friends or spend an evening alone with Netflix – we all have that desire. But once you always prioritize this time over time with your partner, you need to think carefully about whether you still want to stay in the relationship. The time you spend with your partner should never feel like an obligation.
3. You keep in touch with potential partners
Most people are social animals and have friendships with people of the opposite sex. Of course there is nothing wrong with that. But if you stay in touch with Tinder contacts or others who are potential relationship material, you are already concerned with possible relationships after the break-up with your current partner. Keep potential partners on the reserve bench? Not a good sign.

4. You give up all your other hobbies and passions
Early in a relationship, people often give up their hobbies and passions. Falling in love at the beginning of a relationship can consume you completely. You only want to spend time with your partner and other things fade into the background. But once the relationship lasts longer and becomes more serious, this usually corrects itself. But if this continues, then the person you are with may not be right for you.
5. You never go on dates together again
Have a nice bite to eat somewhere, go to the cinema or take a nice walk. A date can be anything. The moment you no longer take the time to plan such a trip and spend some quality time together, it means the end for the relationship. As long as you go on dates regularly, you keep the love alive. If you don’t, it will slowly fade away.
6. Being petty
Do you live with your partner? Do you act immature and petty about household chores when you previously didn’t? Then you know that the relationship will not last much longer. Has he forgotten to throw the garbage bag outside in the container again? Instead of asking an adult, or easily throwing it away yourself, you leave it there – until it starts to stink. This behavior is disastrous for a relationship and a sign that it is doomed to failure.
7. You’re attracted to literally everyone
If you find yourself attracted to every man or woman in the bar or every person you meet on Instagram, then your relationship is doomed to fail in the long run. Of course, you can always feel some attraction to someone, but if you are truly in love with your partner, you shouldn’t be attracted to anyone who is remotely good-looking.
8. You leave things that you actually want to do
Suppose you meet someone, you fall in love and you move in together. You live together for a while and only then do you find out that your partner does not believe in marriage or does not want to have children . If you’ve been dreaming of a big family or a glamorous wedding since you were little, this can become a huge problem. Maybe not right away, but in the long run it’s inevitable.

You’ll find several things you disagree on, but you can’t compromise on big things like this. Relationships between people with completely different long-term goals will always ultimately fail.
9. You avoid intimacy
Intimacy is very important in a relationship. From holding hands and kissing to cuddling and sex. Once you find yourself irritated by the thought of your partner touching you, the relationship is doomed to failure. In fact, it is one of the strongest signs that the relationship will not last much longer, as anyone who has experienced this knows.
Sex may not be the most important part of a relationship, but intimacy creates a stronger bond between two people. It is a way of showing love and as soon as you no longer feel the need for it, the relationship is over.
10. You forget important details
You recently forgot the anniversary of you and your partner’s relationship. Not only have you forgotten, but you also don’t care that you didn’t celebrate. Once you stop caring about important milestones in the relationship or celebrating them together, that alone shows that the relationship is doomed to fail.
