Emotional exhaustion is something to take seriously, but also something that can manifest itself in different ways. That’s why it’s time to recognize when you’re emotionally exhausted without realizing it.
1. Even Everyday Emotions Are Tough
If you’ve gotten to the point where every negative emotion completely upsets you, it’s not because you’re not strong enough. No, this is because you are overflowing and even the smallest setback can be the last straw. The little thing that makes you so upset isn’t the problem. The problem is your bucket is full.
2. You are hypersensitive
In the same way as in point 1, your sensitivity does not mean that you ‘overreact’ to things. No, it means that you are close to your breaking point and it is becoming difficult to put things into perspective. Therefore, try not to waste your energy on the external things that upset you, but try to find out why you are so emotional.
There may be things in your life that can no longer continue like this. Important parts that you can no longer ignore. You don’t have to be even stronger or find more willpower to keep yourself from falling over. No, it is now important to find out what has caused you to be so extremely sensitive.
3. You Feel Defeated
Another important sign that you may be emotionally exhausted is that you see everything in black and white. It is currently all or nothing for you, while this is of course not the case. It is your way of recognizing that your emotions are running high, that they are intense and intense. You try to set boundaries by saying, “It’s enough now.”

4. You find it difficult to move on.
You may also find it difficult to think about how to proceed. Maybe it’s a good idea to look at it per day and if this is too much: per hour. Ask yourself what you need and meet those desires. Take the time to figure out what’s bothering you and what you need.
5. You have no control over your emotions
You are driving in your car and suddenly you start crying very loudly. Tears pouring and you can’t stop. Or you get angry at the people close to you, anger that is actually unjustified or out of proportion. This feels like a situation that you can no longer handle.
6. You are ready for change
Despite the fact that you feel so beaten down, you are ready for a transformation. You know you’re ready. Deep down you know that things cannot continue like this, that you cannot continue as you are doing now. The good news is that this is not necessary. Stop denying your feelings. Work on yourself and find out what you need and your new life is ready to begin!
