1. Listen to how you talk about the people around you
Do you sound happy for the people around you and like you support them? Or do you sound jealous, judgmental and bitter? How you speak about the people around you is a reflection on how you feel about yourself and where you think you should be in life. A good way to steer yourself in the right direction is to speak positively about yourself and the people around you. If this doesn’t work, it’s time to make some changes that will make it work.
2. Listen to how the people you spend time with talk about things.
Are they negative about others? Do they complain a lot? Do they not wish others their success? Or do they support others? Do they actually bring others up? Do they not care about material and social status? Be very aware of the people you spend time with, because they subconsciously influence you a lot. So let people go if necessary.

3. Are there things you hold on to that you should actually throw out?
This goes beyond just clothes and belongings, although clearing out your closets can give you a wonderfully tidy feeling. Ask yourself what or who you keep in your inner circle, which does nothing good for well-being. It could be friends, a relationship, a bad habit or an addiction. Notice it and then clean up.
4. Find a positive quality in everyone you have ever felt affection for.
This is a difficult one, but it is necessary. Because it frees your heart from feelings of guilt and anger and it allows you to see what you are looking for in new relationships and what you value in existing relationships. If you find it difficult to say something positive about some people from your past, it may help to mention something you have learned about yourself through this relationship.

5. Learn the difference between what you really want and what you should want
We often convince ourselves that we want something because everyone else wants it or because we were taught that we should have it at a certain age. If we really want something, we put a lot of effort into it; we invest money, time and effort. That’s a lot of effort to put into something you may not even want, but which has been talked into you by the media, friends or society.

6. Recognize which parts of your life you want to improve and stop feeling guilty about this.
Stop feeling guilty because you want financial security, wanting more money does not make you a bad person. Stop feeling guilty if you want a meaningful relationship or if you want to be single. Stop feeling guilty about being healthier. You’re not boring if you skip that wine. The only thing you should feel bad about is if you ignore your feelings and desires.
You are great! You are worth investing your time and energy in, so do so!
