No jab? No sex for you either. At least, that’s the trend expected for the coming summer – which officially starts in two days.
While the media is already talking about a slutty summer, that same summer will also be characterized by two camps: the vaccinated on one side and the unvaccinated on the other. That is according to new research from dating app Bumble , in which 3 in 10 singles say they will not date or have sex with someone who is not vaccinated.

Ready to date in person again
Because the app allows users in some countries to already report their COVID-19 preferences, such as how comfortable they are with dating, Bumble is uniquely positioned to gather information about these singles. Analysis of singles’ reported preferences suggests more people are ready to date in person again, FastCompany reports .
Of the U.S. users who indicated their first date preferences in the app’s COVID-ready center, nearly 90% say they want to meet in person. Of these singles, 46% say they’re comfortable with a “normal” first date, and 41% say they’d still rather do it socially distanced.

- 39% say ghosting has decreased since the start of the pandemic.
- 31% say catfishing has decreased since the first corona outbreak.
- 91% say there is no longer a stigma attached to online dating.
- 38% would rather go on a virtual date first before meeting in person.
